Featherlite V3.1 now online
One day later than expected we got around publishing release 3.1. Changes are light, and were focused on giving new users a better experience. With this release, we also publish an updated version of the documentation, which reflects the featherlite framework, the model and the configuration in this release's form. We've also worked on making the meaning of the Changelogs more accessible to you. Also, we've added more test models with which you can play to discover the features of the featherlite framework.
So enough of the talk, down to the fun stuff:
The updated versions of the installation and getting started guides not only fix several lax points of the previous version, but also explains how to start a new project by using templates that we have created. Also, the chapter on the runtime configuration has been extended.
Other parts of the book have also been extended: from the structural point of view, some chapter describing the clients have been merged, which brings some changes in the chapter numbering. In the policy section, we have added a new section describing the work calendars available in featherlite. In the command chapter, we've updated the handling with transactions.
The probably most important addition to the book part describing the functionality of featherlite is Chapter 12. There, we give and explain example models highlighting some of the capabilities of the framework. This chapter should give you additional insight on what functionalities are already implemented and you can test them by using the example models. Don't miss this chapter, it's a must for featherlite beginners!
